Fairbanks Yoga is a Registered School of Yoga that meets and exceeds the Yoga Alliance 200-hour standards. In this 200-hour training you will learn the fundamental principles of yoga philosophy, functional anatomy, teaching methodology, effective yoga class sequencing, and in-depth hands on assists. Our intention is to provide a training that gives you the tools you need to plan and teach a class with confidence in a way that is thoughtful, creative, and authentic.
As an added bonus, portions of the training will also be available to attend as a 40-hour training for those who do not intend to teach but would like to deepen their yoga knowledge and a 20-hour continuing education course for certified yoga teachers to learn/review hands on assists. There are 15 spots available for the 200-hour training ($2,800), 6 spots available for the 40-hour training ($240), and 2 spots available for the 20-hour continuing education course ($750). All 200-hr trainees will be expected to complete an assigned online 20-hour Anatomy course prior to the first day of training. The cost of this training is $55 + $25 required reading. More information about how and where to register will be provided once applications are accepted.

Deepen Your Practice 40 Hour Course
This course will be held alongside our YTT Trainees on Sundays from October 9 – December 11 (10 weeks) 9am – 1pm. In order to attend this training, students will need to purchase the workbook, Living the Sutras: A Guide to Yoga Wisdom Beyond the Mat. There are 6 spots available for this training. The cost of this series is a non-refundable $240 and is due at the time of registration.
Each Sunday we will begin with an hour long Vinyasa class focused on yoga philosophy. After class, we will discuss the topics presented in class as well as work through assigned prompts from the workbook, creating a space for meaningful group discussion.
The intention with this training is to offer a deeper dive into the reason why we practice and how the philosophical backbone of yoga can provide transformative change in your every day life. This course is geared toward those who are interested in knowing more about the guiding principles of yoga without wanting to receive a certification to teach.

This course will be held on Saturday evenings during our YTT Posture Clinics, 4-6pm October 8 – December 10 (10 weeks). The required text for this training is: Science of Yoga: Understanding the Anatomy and Physiology to Perfect Your Practice. Space is limited to only 2 teachers at this time, so priority will be given to those who can attend the entire training. The cost of this training is a non-refundable $750 and is due at the time of registration.
This course is catered to those who have already completed a 200 Hour certification who would like to gain continuing edication credits while learn more about providing hands-on assists. This training is ideal for those who completed a training online, did not receive adequate assist training in their YTT, or simply would like to learn more about how to assist students.
