About Me & This Training
I have been leading teacher trainings here in Fairbanks since 2019 and love the opportunity to share what yoga has taught me over the last two decades. And though I enjoy sharing my knowledge with you all, I often find that participants learn just as much from each other during group discussion, where we’re able to apply the principles of what we’re learning to everyday life. Participation in our weekly discussions is an essential part of this training, and I look forward to hearing what you have to share from your life experiences and unique perspective.
Another aspect I like to dedicate time to in this training is the art of providing intentional, supportive, and safe hands-on-assists. Those of you who practice with me know that I love offering touch in my classes and you will see that my love of assists will heavily influence this training. If you are not comfortable providing or receiving hands-on-assists, this may not be the right training for you, as I find this to be a main teaching feature of those who graduate from my YTTs. |
In my 2022 training, I came away understanding from my trainees that Fairbanks Yoga is a place where people come to take their practice seriously, and the same goes for this YTT. I plan to provide an informative, professional, in-depth training for you all, and I expect you all to take this training seriously as well. This means showing up on time, completing assigned homework, and actively participating in group discussion; all of which will provide immense benefit to your YTT experience.
I am deeply grateful for your interest and I look forward to welcoming familiar faces as well as getting to know those who I have yet to meet!
