I’m new to yoga. Which class is right for me?
We offer two different classes catered to beginners: Intro to Vinyasa and Yin:
Intro to Vinyasa: This class is designed for people completely new to Vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa is a dynamic, strength-building style of yoga where you link breath to movement, so expect to build some heat in the first half of class. This class follows a set sequence and is taught as if it is your first encounter with yoga poses and terminology. Expect lots of verbal cues and demonstrations throughout class.
Yin: This style of yoga is much more gentle than Vinyasa. The poses in this class are meant for deep stretching and relaxation. Nearly all poses are done on the floor, with ample use of props to make poses more accessible in the body. Poses are held anywhere from 2-8 minutes. If you have issues with muscle mobility or faster-paced movement, this may be the best class for you.
What do I need to bring to my first class?
We have everything you need at the studio! Mats, props, straps, blocks, blankets, and bolsters are all provided. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer, and if you forget your water bottle, we have water and coconut water available for purchase at the studio.
What do I need to do before my first visit?
Everyone who attends class must create an account through Mind Body. This is so you can sign our waiver and allows us to process your payment for class. You can do this online ahead of time by pressing HERE or plan on arriving 10-15 minutes before class to create an account at the studio.
