FALL YTT UPDATE
Our Fall YTT has been postponed to January 2025. This training will follow a new hybrid format of in-person and virtual lessons to achieve the 200HR certification. This training will also provide the ability for those who are already certified teachers a chance to take a refresher course ("Teaching Essentials") and/or an intensive training on hands-on assists ("The Art of Assists"). These options are especially helpful to those who completed an online training and didn't receive hands-on training, immediate feedback, or a community of other trainees during their YTT.
This training is 10 weeks total, beginning Saturday, January 4. The first 6 weeks are all-day weekends, and the final 4 are Sundays only. Proposed schedule is shown below. The training cost will be less than $2,200 and portions of this training may be taken by those who apply to the different modules. See below for brief descriptions of the different modules. A 20-Hour online anatomy course is required prior to the start of training, and a 60-hour online lecture course is required to receive your 200HR certification.
More detailed information on this training will be available by October 2024. Please check back here or email Jacie at [email protected] to be added to the list of interested participants.
SATURDAYS - Teaching Essentials
This 6-week training is a collection of all of the most important lectures in our 200HR YTT and is required for those pursuing the 200HR training. It is also open to previously certified yoga teachers who are interested in brushing up on teaching skills and having an open discussion format.
SATURDAYS - The Art of Assists
This 6-week course goes over how to provide quality, hands-on assists in the most common yoga poses you will encounter in a Vinyasa class. This is a required class for the 200HR and is also open to those who have already received a 200HR certification.
SUNDAYS - Deepen Your Practice (Philosophy Flow + Sutra Discussion)
This 10-week course focuses on the guiding principles of the yogic tradition. Each week we will break down the Yamas and Niyamas and follow practice with a discussion about the yoga sutras. This course is required by 200HR trainees, but open to anyone who is interested in deepening their practice and learning more about the foundational philosophy behind yoga. You may choose to take both sections of this entire course or just drop in to the Philosophy Flow, though priority will be given to those who pre-register for both the flow and discussion.
SUNDAYS - Practice Teach
This 10-week section is for the 200HR Trainee cohort to practice teaching the set sequence that is provided over the duration of the training. Non-YTT Art of Assists students may register for this course for an additional fee so that they can practice hands-on assists.
